I missed the last Oxford Drupal Users Group meet-up with no good excuse whatsoever (basically, I forgot.) But in my absence they put together a really handy list of Drupal resources for getting a team up to speed. It's so good that I think you should go and read it now, and only come back if you really want to.
Along with these particular items I'd like to single out for special attention:
- Book: Pro Drupal Development 7, by Todd Tomlinson and John VanDyk
- Example: the Examples module on d.o
- News: The Weekly Drop email newsletter
- Chat: the #drupal-uk chat channel on Freenode IRC, plus #drupal-commerce and many other specialist channels.
... I'd also like to add a recent find of my own, the PHP Weekly newsletter. It's not Drupal-specific, but if you want to learn more about the PHP ecosystem - and given Symfony's forays into Drupal 8 core, you really ought to broaden your horizons - then I can recommend it.
But otherwise... what OxDUG said! And you should totally subscribe to the g.d.o group: there are only occasional posts to it, but every one's a winner.
